Zach + Cayce

Engagement Session at Dragonfly Wedding Venue

They met seven, yes SEVEN years ago right after grade school. How cute right?! Zach works at Pinkneyville Correctional Facility and Cayce works part time while going to school full time for Mortuary Science.

Cayce told me they met at an MMA class that her dad in enrolled her in! They started dating April 19th, 2012 when they were 14. So of course I got to ask all the cute questions! Who said "I love you" first? Cayce said she totally made all the first moves! First kiss, first I love you's, haha! Zach finally got a first when he proposed! He said "Well I had the ring for months and just wanted it to be somewhere special." Zach said Cayce knew he had the ring but as most of us girls know, that doesn't kill the surprise!

Zach was telling me that they had been to several places that he thought about proposing at, but just couldn't find the perfect timing. Well one evening, at home in their living room, Cayce was scrolling on her phone. He asked her to put her phone down because he had a question. (Eeek! So cute!) Cayce said he told her how much he loved her, how much he loved their simple life and that's how he likes it. Then....popped the question!!

Cayce and Zach decided on the Dragonfly in Herrin, Illinois to say "I do" in November. So what better place to have their engagement pictures done at?! I love the sentiment behind every bit of this. They danced and laughed at the same arbor they will be starting their marriage under.

It started out as a pretty dreary day. Gray, rainy skies all morning but by the evening the rain quit and the skies let a little sun through making for a perfect day. After a bit of practice with posing, I soon realized that these two were practically professionals! Zach quickly became comfortable and definitely started enjoying himself!

I am so excited to see what they have planned for their big day in November! These two are the absolute sweetest!

xo,

Courtney
